A new PAssion card exclusive to seniors will be issued free to all Singaporean citizens aged 60 years and above from Monday (Dec 5) onwards. It will combine the functions of their senior citizen concession card with the PAssion card.
Senior citizens who want to use the card for transport must activate it by the end of May at a Transit Link ticket office, by producing their identity card or existing concession card. Temporary booths will also be set up at selected train stations and bus interchanges to make activation more convenient for seniors.
All seniors who turn 60 by Jan 31 will receive their cards by the end of March. Citizens who turn 60 after the cut-off date will receive their invitations in their birthday month.
Holders of the new card will enjoy discounted rates at PA Community Clubs’ courses, activities and facilities, and at merchants such as Giant and Cold Storage (3% off at Giant on Tuesdays and 3% off at Cold Storage on Wednesdays). KrisFlyer members also get 5 per cent off Singapore Airlines fares.
Seniors will also be entitled to a five-year National Library Board (NLB) Partner Membership, which allows them to borrow up to 10 items, and to concession fares on public transport, with at least 25 per cent off the adult fare.
