Singapore Electricity Tariff Revision for Q3 (2016)

TODAY, 1 July 2016

For the quarter 1 Jul to 30 Sep 2016, electricity tariffs will rise by an average of 9.2% or 1.59 cents per kWh compared to the previous quarter. This is largely due to a 26% increase in the cost of natural gas for electricity generation. The increase was partly offset by lower non-fuel costs, notwithstanding an increase in Market Support Services fee to meet higher market system and development costs.
